Terremoto is a comic arts project based on the Campos-Castillo family’s shared memory of the catastrophe and trauma of the earthquake that hit San Salvador (El Salvador) in 1986. I drew out my recollections of the events on the gallery walls and collected recorded interviews from my family to explore the impact of surviving a major natural disaster together and how memory differs and overlaps.
